Feeling Free

How free do you feel in your life right now?

I used to feel trapped by so many things - debt, health issues, my identity as a shy person, my family’s influence, my job, past experiences, society’s ideas of how things are supposed to be and what success is supposed to look like, etc., etc.

I let all of those things control me for so long, staying small and allowing myself to be at the mercy of other people and other things.

Eventually, I took a good, hard look at all of those things and got so fed up with not being who I’ve always known I am and not doing what I actually want to do with my life, what I’m really being called to do. And I realized that I could make a different choice.

So I chose to take my power back and to be free.

Some of those circumstances above have changed and some of them haven’t. The biggest change has been how I perceive them.

I am now able to observe my circumstances/thoughts/feelings. And from the perspective of an observer, from that awareness, I am free to create something new and more beautiful. I am free to make new choices.

Today, and everyday, I choose liberation.

It’s not always an easy choice. It requires constantly coming face to face with my past traumas, my fears, my limiting beliefs and the disempowering stories I have become accustomed to telling myself.

And I choose it anyway because that’s what my soul is calling me to do.

What is your soul calling you to?

What would it take for you to see that you’re actually already free to pursue that calling?
